Kamala Harris Accepts Second Presidential Debate Against Donald Trump

Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted CNN's invitation for a possible second debate with former President Donald Trump. The debate is scheduled for October 23.

Harris called on Trump to join her on the debate stage, saying the American people deserve another opportunity to see them debate before casting their ballots.

Trump argued that voting has already started, and a debate at this stage would be too late. He also claimed that Harris is "losing badly" and wants to do a debate with CNN because of it.

The Harris campaign pointed out that Trump has no problem agreeing to this debate, as it's the same format and setup as the CNN debate he attended in June.

The first debate between Harris and Trump took place on September 10, and the Harris campaign called for a second debate shortly after.

The CNN debate would mirror the one between Trump and Biden, with the same format and setup. It would also take place in Atlanta

President Biden stepped aside in his reelection bid and endorsed Harris on July 23, after his poor performance in the June debate led to weeks of calls for him to drop out of the race.
